UPDATE 1-South African rand jumps as dollar slips on U.S. producer prices

The South African rand jumped about 1.9% against the dollar after US data showed producer prices unexpectedly fell in March. The drop fuelled expectations that the Federal Reserve is nearing the end of its rate-hiking cycle.
