Malaysian crude palm oil futures slipped about 1.5% to a 12-week low near $1,074/MT as MPOB data showed August closing stocks rising 15.2% month-on-month to 1,645,570 tonnes. Exports fell 7.5% while production edged up 1.4%.
Indonesia raised its October CPO reference price by 3.44% to $1,042.15/MT.
Swelling Malaysian inventories keep nearby palm supply comfortable and pressure prices lower, while Indonesia's higher reference price, B50 blending and Indian restocking offer partial offsets. Net price pressure remains bearish near term.
