Brazil’s Cepea/Esalq live-cattle indicator closed at R$392.70 per arroba on November 6, a new nominal record and up 0.72% from October 30. In Rio Grande do Sul, live cattle rose 2% and cull cows gained 1.4% for the week; the report cited limited finished-cattle availability, firm beef demand, and short slaughter schedules.
Tight finished-cattle supplies and steady buyer demand strengthen producers’ bargaining power and support cattle prices. Futures were already pricing in more than R$400 per arroba by year-end.
