In the first 17 weeks of the 2026/27 season, Ukraine shipped 69,830 tonnes of barley to the EU, 3.7 times the year-earlier volume and 30.9% of EU barley imports. Ukrainian rapeseed oil exports to the EU reached 182,690 tonnes, up 44.9% year on year, lifting Ukraine's share of EU imports to 81.89%.
Growing Ukrainian shipments increase EU availability of barley and rapeseed oil, adding competition for other suppliers and potentially limiting prices in the destination market. The reported gains are meaningful but involve relatively small absolute volumes.
