Prices for several Egyptian feed ingredients fell on November 8 compared with the previous day. Imported Argentine and Brazilian corn declined by EGP 100 per tonne, Ukrainian corn fell by the same amount, and local soybean meal fell by EGP 700 per tonne for 44% protein and EGP 700 for 46% protein.
Lower corn and soybean-meal prices reduce feed manufacturers’ input costs and could ease pressure on compound-feed prices if the declines persist. The changes are daily market movements rather than evidence of a major supply disruption.
