Live hog prices in Hà Tĩnh were reported at 44,000–46,000 dong/kg, with one cooperative recently selling hogs at 43,000 dong/kg. Producers said low sale prices, alongside high feed and disease-prevention costs, were causing losses and putting pressure on farms and larger operators.
Low hog prices weaken producer margins and could eventually constrain herd expansion or production, while elevated feed costs add to the pressure. The immediate price signal for lean hogs is bearish.
