South Korean company Daesang shipped an initial 20 tonnes of domestically produced feed lysine to Brazil on November 6, following local approval of its manufacturing facility and product. The company plans to export about 1,200 tonnes worth $2 million to Brazil in 2027.
The shipment opens a new export channel and adds a modest potential source of lysine supply for Brazilian buyers. The planned volume is small relative to the broader market, so the likely price effect is limited.
