The U.S. national on-highway diesel average fell 6 cents to $6.292 per gallon for the week of November 2, ending a three-week rise. Prices declined in every EIA-tracked region but remained $2.54 per gallon above a year earlier.
Lower diesel prices modestly ease trucking and farm-fuel costs, though the level remains historically high. The weekly move alone offers little indication of a lasting change in fuel supply.
