Wheat accounted for 75% of trading on the Novi Sad Commodity Exchange during the week, with its weighted price down 3.02% from the prior week to 21.64 dinars per kilogram before VAT. Wheat sellers offered more than buyers sought, and buyers mainly wanted lower-protein grain.
Corn trading was subdued: although bids and offers were present, no exchange contracts were concluded, and buyers’ indicated prices were trending lower.
Excess wheat offers relative to demand put downward pressure on local wheat prices. Weak corn-market participation and declining bid prices suggest soft near-term demand, but no completed trades establish a firm price move.
