Brasbio’s first corn- and sorghum-ethanol plant in Piauí has been in testing since July in Uruçuí. The facility is designed to process 1,500 tonnes of grain and produce more than 600,000 liters of ethanol per day; state officials also highlighted DDGS as a potential animal-feed coproduct.
The plant adds a local industrial buyer for corn and sorghum, potentially supporting regional grain demand, while producing additional DDGS feed supply. The price effect will depend on how quickly the facility reaches full operation and sources grain.
After 318 past bullish policy events, Corn moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (48% higher; middle half -1.4% to +1.5%), and -0.2% over 20.
