Egypt shows interest in Missouri’s unmilled rice

Missouri rice producers say Egypt is very interested in buying unmilled rough rice from Missouri, as water shortages have halted rice growing in Egypt. A proposal was presented in July by industry representatives and a university professor.

The industry also remains optimistic that China will eventually import US rice.
