U.S. natural gas futures rose 10 cents for the week to $2.998/MMBtu as lower output and higher LNG feedgas offset mild weather expectations. EIA storage increased by 77 Bcf to 3,801 Bcf, 1.4% above the five-year average, while European TTF prices fell more than 15% for the week and EU storage was about 74% full.
Rising LNG feedgas and reduced production support U.S. gas demand and prices, while the large storage build and mild outlook limit the upside. The sharp European price drop may redirect cargo economics, although storage below its typical level remains a winter supply concern.
