Indonesia’s KPBN Inacom crude palm oil tender ended without a sale for a second consecutive session, with the highest bid down 2.02% to IDR14,254/kg. Malaysia’s January 2027 palm oil futures fell 2.72% on Friday and lost 9.04% for the week, amid weakness in global soybean oil prices.
The decline in soybean oil prices pressured palm oil through the vegetable-oil substitution link, while weaker bids indicated limited near-term buying interest. This is bearish for palm oil prices.
