India’s GSFC said its fertilizer margins for the second half of FY27 depend on government subsidy rates for NPK grades, which were still awaiting notification. The company reported that Q2 FY27 fertilizer segment EBIT fell year on year to Rs 17 crore from Rs 224 crore as higher raw-material costs, including sulfur and natural gas, outweighed increased sales value; management said an expected subsidy increase, if approved, could help offset the prior-quarter profit shortfall.
Higher approved NPK subsidies could support fertilizer production economics and help maintain supply, while delayed or insufficient rates would leave manufacturers exposed to elevated input costs. The article does not indicate a direct change in feed-commodity prices.
