Egypt's average price for special ammonium nitrate rose by 620 pounds per tonne to 24,064 pounds, while special urea rose by 561 pounds to 24,432 pounds. Special ammonium sulfate prices moved lower, falling by 1,305 pounds per tonne to an average of 18,880 pounds.
Higher reported demand relative to official supply, alongside black-market activity, is supporting local nitrate and urea prices. Rising urea costs may increase buyers’ feed-crop production expenses.
