South Korean company Daesang received Brazilian approvals for its manufacturing facility and lysine product, then shipped an initial 20-tonne batch to Brazil. It plans to export about 1,200 tonnes, worth roughly $2 million, in 2027, with support from South Korea’s agriculture ministry in the approval process.
The new route adds a modest potential source of lysine for Brazilian feed buyers and may increase supplier competition. The planned volume is limited, so any price pressure is likely small.
