Vietnam’s USD/VND rate continued to decline in October for a sixth consecutive month, despite upward pressure on the dollar internationally. Analysts cited stronger foreign investment, an improved trade balance and domestic interest rates as support for the dong and forecast a stable exchange rate in the remaining months of 2026.
A stable dong would limit exchange-rate-driven changes in the local cost of imported feed ingredients and other inputs. The forecast depends on continued foreign-currency inflows and trade-balance support.
