Kazakhstan exported 657,000 tonnes of vegetable oils and meal to China in the latest season, worth more than $438 million, with exports rising 3.7-fold over three seasons. Improved rail logistics and expanded processing capacity have supported the increase, and the national oilseed processors’ association expects exports to reach 1 million tonnes within two seasons.
Higher shipments add meal and vegetable-oil supply to China, increasing competition for other suppliers and potentially easing prices for those products. Further export growth depends on raw-material availability, logistics, and new processing capacity.
