Vietnam’s dong was described as stabilizing amid export receipts, foreign direct investment inflows, and a softer US dollar. Realized FDI reached US$21.07 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 12.1% year over year, while September recorded a US$1.27 billion trade surplus.
Export and investment inflows add foreign-currency supply, which can ease pressure on the dong and reduce the local cost of dollar-priced imports. That would limit imported input-cost inflation, including for feed ingredients.
