Ukraine’s rapeseed oil exports to the EU rose 45% year over year to 182,690 tonnes between July 1 and October 25, supplying nearly 82% of EU rapeseed oil imports. EU rapeseed oil imports overall increased by about one-third, while European rapeseed futures and premiums weakened amid greater nearby availability.
Higher Ukrainian flows increase competition for EU crushers and add to regional vegetable-oil availability, putting pressure on rapeseed and oil premiums. The export growth is bearish for competing EU-origin oil prices, though no matching oilseed symbol is available in the permitted list.
