U.S. ethanol exports totaled 209 million gallons in September, down 1% from August, while shipments through September reached 1.83 billion gallons, 14% above the same period in 2025. DDGS exports fell 16% month over month to 1.09 million metric tons, but year-to-date exports were 12% higher year over year; Canada was the largest ethanol buyer and Mexico the largest DDGS buyer.
Strong year-to-date ethanol and DDGS export demand supports U.S. corn use for ethanol production and demand for its feed coproduct. The September monthly declines temper that support slightly, but the overall export pace is bullish for corn and DDGS.
After 729 past bullish trade events, Corn moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (56% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.8%), and +0.5% over 20.
