Firm domestic consumption and strong export demand lifted Brazil’s chicken-chain prices in October, with frozen and chilled whole chicken reaching their highest real average prices since December 2025. The stronger demand also raised demand for live birds, whose price in São Paulo reached a one-year high, despite three Newcastle disease cases in southern Brazil.
Strong domestic and export demand tightens the market for chicken and live birds, supporting prices. The Newcastle cases did not disrupt trading during the month.
