Ukrainian sunflower purchase prices fell UAH 500/t last week to UAH 15,000–16,000/t as the harvest reached 89% of area by October 30, with yields above last year. October sunflower seed exports were 3.5 times September’s level, while sunflower oil exports rose 84.9%; transport costs and falling global oil prices continued to pressure the market.
The larger harvest is increasing seed availability, while stronger exports are absorbing some of the supply and limiting further price declines. Higher logistics costs and softer oil markets weigh on local prices and processor returns.
