Poland’s corn harvest is still underway, with progress estimated at about 10% in the east and 30–35% around Elbląg, while roughly 80% has been harvested in Lower Silesia. Wet grain and limited drying capacity have led some buyers to restrict intake to contracted deliveries or reject loads above 38% moisture; in eastern Poland, spot prices fell by about 20 zł per tonne per day to 600–640 zł/t on November 4.
The large harvest arriving with high moisture is overwhelming drying and transport capacity, constraining immediate demand for uncontracted corn and adding downward pressure to farmgate prices. Continued intake bottlenecks could keep local prices weak while harvest deliveries remain heavy.
After 359 past bearish logistics events, Corn moved a median -0.3% over 5 sessions (44% higher; middle half -1.5% to +1.5%), and -0.5% over 20.
