Kazakhstan’s sunflower husk pellet exports to Polish combined heat and power plants could rise to 250,000 tonnes annually, nearly 7.5 times the 2025 volume. Exports of sunflower-based fuel pellets rose to 63,200 tonnes in the first nine months of 2026, with Poland the largest buyer in 2025.
Growing European demand for the pellets creates an additional outlet for Kazakhstan’s sunflower-processing byproduct and could support processing margins. The article does not establish a material price effect on the listed feed commodities.
