South Korea’s Daesang shipped an initial batch of about 20 tonnes of domestically produced lysine to Brazil after receiving Brazilian approvals. The company plans to export about 1,200 tonnes, worth $2 million, to Brazil in 2027, following Korean government support with facility and product registration.
The approval opens a new export destination for Korean lysine and adds a supply source for Brazil’s large livestock sector. The planned volume is relatively small, so the effect on wider lysine prices is likely limited.
