South Korea’s Daesang will begin exporting lysine to Brazil following import approval secured through cooperation between the two countries’ governments. The first shipment is about 20 tonnes, with planned exports of 1,200 tonnes next year.
The approval creates a new export outlet for Korean lysine and provides Brazilian feed users with an additional supply source. The volumes are limited relative to the wider market, making a significant price effect unlikely.
