Colombia’s central bank reported that September headline inflation reached 6.3%, while core inflation held at 6.0%, both above its 2%-4% target range. It attributed much of the third-quarter increase to regulated prices and said adverse weather affected perishable-food prices; the bank expects inflation to decline from 2027 and approach its target by late 2028.
Weather-related increases in perishable foods can lift food inflation, but the report does not identify feed-grain supply changes or a direct price impact for the listed feed commodities. Peso appreciation may also lower imported-input costs.
