Vietnam's central bank announced a USD/VND swap operation with a 182-day tenor, capped at $2 billion, starting November 6. Participating banks will temporarily sell dollars to the central bank for dong and repurchase the dollars at maturity; full use of the facility would initially inject nearly 48.8 trillion dong.
The operation adds dong liquidity and could ease interbank funding pressure and lending rates, but it has no stated direct effect on feed-commodity supply or prices.
