Malaysian palm oil futures fell to a nearly one-month low on November 3 amid concerns that inventories would continue to rise. October exports were estimated to have increased substantially from September, but higher production was still expected to add to stocks; declines in soybean oil and other competing oils also weighed on palm oil.
Expected stock accumulation and weaker competing vegetable-oil prices pressured palm oil despite stronger exports. The supply overhang increases downside risk unless export demand absorbs more of the additional production.
