U.S. soybean futures fell 4½ to 14 cents on Thursday, while soybean oil futures also declined. USDA export-sales data showed 1.456 million tonnes of 2026/27 soybean sales, including 873,900 tonnes to China; traders were also looking ahead to the next Crop Production report.
The reported sales provide demand support, but the three-week low and expectations for a larger U.S. crop weigh on the balance. The session’s price moves were modest and do not point to a major shift in feed-ingredient costs.
