Colombia expects its avocado exports to fall in 2026 for the first time, to about 140,000 tonnes from 202,000 tonnes last year. A weak secondary harvest in June and July, slowed harvesting from rain and European protests, and a stronger peso are cutting producer margins.
Avocados are not a feed commodity, so the drop in Colombian exports has no direct effect on feed ingredient supply or prices.
