The National Association of Oilseed Processors estimates Kazakh oil and fat product exports to China will reach 1 million tonnes over the next two seasons. Last season shipments of vegetable oils and meal and cake to China totaled 657 thousand tonnes, worth over $438 million.
A roughly 52% jump in Kazakh oilseed product shipments to China would add to sunflower meal and oil supply in Chinese feed and food markets. The effect on global prices is modest, since this is an association estimate rather than a firm plan.
