CBOT corn futures traded near a four-month low and soybean futures touched their lowest level since mid-August, weighed down by large US harvests. Analysts expect the USDA's monthly report next week to lower its corn production estimate slightly from October but keep the crop the second largest on record.
Corn was down 1.75 cents at $4.425 per bushel and soybeans were down 2.75 cents at $11.005.
Ample US supply and a larger-than-expected crop point to lower feed grain and soymeal input costs for buyers, while the pending USDA report is the next catalyst for prices.
