FranceAgriMer published its first forecast balance sheets for the 2026-2027 organic cereals and protein crops season on 9 October 2026. Organic pea ending stocks are projected to fall about 29% to 2,601 t as collection drops 38% to 8,500 t, while organic faba bean ending stocks fall only 5%.
Prices have firmed year on year, with pea and faba bean prices converging at a similar level amid persistent drought and heatwaves.
Tighter organic pea supplies than faba bean supplies narrow the price gap between the two feed proteins, pushing buyers toward faba bean substitution and supporting organic protein prices.
