Soybean oil dropped 2.68% to 63.53 US cents per pound on the December contract, pressured by lower crude oil. Soybeans fell 0.97%, while soybean meal rose 0.19% and corn gained 0.40%.
A 0.66% fall in the Brazilian real further cut the reais value of Chicago prices.
Lower crude oil weakens biofuel demand for soybean oil, which pulls down the crush margin and soybean prices. A weaker real also lowers the local-currency cost of imported feed ingredients.
