The Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi) has published an updated guidance document on the EU Deforestation Regulation for the pulp and paper industry. The guide replaces its June 2025 edition and reflects amendments, the Commission's May 2026 simplification package, and 2026 secondary legislation, ahead of the regulation applying from 30 December 2026.
The guidance clarifies compliance obligations for pulp and paper value chains, which are not core feed commodities. Its direct effect on feed ingredient supply and prices is minimal.
