Wheat futures traded 4 to 6 cents higher on Thursday morning after the complex faded on Wednesday. Chicago SRW was steady to 2 cents lower and KC HRW closed 3 to 5 cents lower.
Census data showed September wheat exports of 1.546 million tonnes, down 14.83% from August and less than half of the year-earlier level.
This is routine intraday price movement with no new supply or demand shock. Weak export shipments point to soft US demand, which limits the size of any rebound.
