European wholesale gas prices fell for a third straight day, with the Dutch TTF front-month contract down 1.6% to 86.60 euros/MWh and about 20% lower over three sessions. Brent crude dropped nearly 9% overnight to below $100, on track for its steepest weekly decline since April 2020, despite reports of fresh tanker incidents in the Strait of Hormuz.
Oil-linked LNG contracts and spot replacement fuels are getting cheaper, reducing the energy-cost pressure on fertiliser, feed processing and transport that had built up in October. Feed buyers should expect softer energy-driven cost inputs, though Hormuz risk remains a upside tail.
