March corn futures in Paris have fallen 13% to €247.75/t after reaching a three-year high of €280/t three weeks earlier, as EU harvests accelerate and Ukrainian supplies rise. Ukraine has threshed 37.5% of its corn area, and October corn exports fell to 262 thousand tons, with railcar delays at the western border raising logistics costs.
Heavier EU and Ukrainian corn supply and weaker oilseed and meal prices are pressuring corn quotes, which lowers feed input costs for buyers in the near term. Rising road and rail costs to EU buyers limit how far Ukrainian export prices can fall.
