Tate & Lyle, a UK food ingredients maker, said it plans to raise prices to pass through cost inflation from the extended Middle East conflict when it renews customer framework agreements for 2027. The company kept its annual forecast of modest revenue growth and broadly flat operating earnings, while adjusted pre-tax profit fell 18% in the six months to September 30.
Higher energy and input costs from the Middle East conflict are being passed down the ingredient chain, which can lift the cost of sweeteners and specialty feed ingredients for buyers. The move signals sustained cost pressure into 2027 rather than a one-off spike.
