Perum Bulog and the National Food Agency launched the distribution of 180 tonnes of SPHP corn, a price-stabilisation programme, to 18 breeder cooperatives in Blitar, East Java. The corn is sold at Rp5,000 per kg at Bulog warehouses.
Bulog and ID FOOD also committed Rp30 billion to buy eggs from small layer farmers, to be paid out in stages through December 2026.
Subsidised state corn sales cap local feed costs for small layer farms and can ease domestic corn demand pressure, which weighs slightly on corn prices. The volumes are small relative to national feed use, so the price impact is limited.
After 310 past bearish policy events, Corn moved a median +0.3% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.4% to +1.9%), and +0.6% over 20.
