Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported third-quarter 2026 year-on-year GDP growth of 5.47%, above a 15-institution consensus of 5.20%, and quarter-on-quarter growth of 1.59%. By 11:10 WIB the rupiah had gained 0.36% to Rp18,090 per US dollar, after closing the previous session at Rp18,155.
Stronger-than-expected domestic growth supports the rupiah and lowers the local-currency cost of dollar-priced feed imports such as corn, soybean meal and wheat for Indonesian buyers. The effect on global feed prices is small.
