The Fertilizer Institute analyzes US potash supply, noting the US imported 12.6 million metric tons in 2025, with Canada supplying 85-90% of imports. Belarus's exports alone roughly equal total US imports, and its exports have eased from a 2021 record of 12.3 million tons to about 10.8 million tons.
Belarus is a sizeable potash exporter, but Canada remains the dominant US supplier, so a Belarusian purchase deal is unlikely to shift US potash prices much in the near term.
