The US dollar fell against the rupiah on the morning of 5 November 2026, trading around Rp18,081, down 87 points or 0.48% according to Bloomberg data. The dollar also weakened against the Canadian dollar, Hong Kong dollar and yen, and strengthened against the won.
A softer dollar against the rupiah lowers the local-currency cost of dollar-priced feed imports for Indonesian buyers. The move is small and mainly reflects broad dollar weakness.
