The State Bank of Vietnam plans to launch a 182-day FX swap on November 6 with a maximum size of USD 2 billion, equal to about 48,798 billion dong. It will buy USD spot at 24,399 VND and sell forward at 24,704 VND, maturing on May 10, 2027.
Eligible participants are banks with medium- or long-term foreign debt.
Easier VND liquidity can lower borrowing costs for feed and livestock businesses. The effect on imported feed prices runs mainly through the exchange rate, which this operation is designed to stabilize.
