Egyptian market prices for imported corn were listed at EGP 13,950 per tonne for US corn, 14,400 for Ukrainian, 15,000 for Argentine and 15,100 for Brazilian. Soybean meal at 46% protein was quoted at EGP 27,200 and at 44% protein at EGP 26,200 per tonne.
The spread between origins shows US corn is the cheapest imported option in Egypt, which may shift buyer sourcing among origins.
