Polish broiler chicken purchase prices on the free market ranged from 3.70 to 4.00 zloty/kg on November 4, averaging 3.84 zloty/kg, up 0.03 from the prior quotation. Contract prices averaged 4.54 zloty/kg and carcass wholesale prices averaged 6.27 zloty/kg.
Surplus supply in the EU chicken market, including rising South American meat imports, is pushing down domestic poultry prices. Weak prices reduce the margins of Polish producers and soften demand signals for poultry feed.
