SNAP | Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc.

Congress must act during a lame-duck session starting November 9 to delay a first-ever SNAP cost-share requirement for states with high payment error rates. Agriculture leaders say a farm bill is stalled in the Senate over this dispute and face a tight window before early January.

WHY IT MATTERS

The farm bill's fate affects long-term US farm policy and state budgets, but it has little near-term effect on feed commodity prices.
