Peru's total exports reached US$10.068 billion in July 2026, up 33.4% year on year. The central bank (BCR) attributed the rise mainly to higher prices for copper and gold, with export prices up 23.2% and volumes up 8.3%.
Higher oil, gas and fishmeal prices also contributed, and cumulative exports for the year reached US$66.506 billion.
Higher fishmeal prices in the export data reflect tight Peruvian supply on the global market, which supports feed-protein costs for buyers. The report is a backward-looking trade statistic and adds little new price pressure on feed grains.
